My Journey into Content Creation: The Story Behind My Signature Look 1

Lately, I’ve been getting a lot of questions about my style—specifically, why I always wear native caps, even with English outfits. My response? Simple. It’s a signature, a concept, my personal brand.

But beyond the cap, my journey into content creation started about four to five years ago when I was in SS1. Even before I fully understood why, I had a deep desire to learn digital skills. Sometimes, it was just curiosity. Other times, it was about filling my time with something productive.

The Spark That Ignited It All

I can never forget my JSS3 days. Our ICT teacher, Mr. Opoola, introduced us to coding. He taught us Scratch and a little bit of Python. I remember spending hours experimenting—creating games, animations, and whatever my mind could come up with. This was when I first dreamed of owning an animation studio, a vision I named Dream Land Animations.

By the following year, I had moved on to Photoshop. I didn’t know much about it at first, but that didn’t stop me. I would sit for hours, playing around with picture edits and photo manipulations, posting my work on Facebook. Soon, I became known in my class as the "photo editor" who made crazy, funny images. Around that time, I also learned CorelDRAW, though Photoshop remained my favorite.

Exploring More Creative Avenues

That same year, I got my first guitar and decided to open a YouTube channel. My content was all over the place—I posted everything from graphic designs and photo manipulations to videos of me playing the guitar. Back then, I didn’t even know what a niche was. I just wanted to create, to share, to put my ideas out there.

Despite the scattered interests, one thing remained constant—I had a deep passion for Yoruba content. I just didn’t know how to fully embrace it yet. Eventually, I found myself drawn to poetry and blogging, often incorporating Yoruba elements into my work.

To Be Continued...

This is just the beginning of my journey. There's more to tell, more lessons learned, and more milestones ahead. Stay tuned!
